The Hai Phong Municipal Police held a conference to review the local police’s work results in 2025, and to deploy the work program for 2026, on December 18. Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered a keynote address.

The event was also attended by Mr. Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hai Phong Municipal Party Committee; Mr. Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Munucipal Party Committee and Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee, as well as other senior local officials.

In 2025, closely following the directions of the Public Security Central Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Hai Phong Municipal Party Committee and People’s Committee, the Hai Phong Police applied innovative and creative working methods, contributing to ensuring security and order and building the People’s Public Security Forces as well as creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development in the city.

Notably, the Hai Phong Police Force thoroughly grasped the situation and accurately forecast situational developments so as to proactively advise the higher-level authorities on policies and solutions to effectively address security and order issues from the outset and at the grassroots level, preventing any strategic surprise or a disadvantage in all situations.

The local police also mobilized the strength of the entire political system to participate in ensuring security and order, while successfully fulfilled the newly-assumed responsibilities of State management of cyber information security and safety, as well as aviation security.

In addition, the Hai Phong Police Force succeeded in executing the Party, State, Government and the Ministry of Public Security’s directions on restructuring and streamlining the organizational structure. Specially, the former Hai Duong Provincial Police Department and the former Hai Phong Municipal Police Department excellently conducted the merger when the two localities were incorporated and led the local police units to dismiss the district-level police unit and re-establish police stations in newly-merged wards or communes in accordance with the prescribed roadmap and schedule.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung congratulated and commended the officers and enlistees at the Hai Phong Municipal Police Department for their achievements and good work results in 2025.

Regarding its key tasks for the time ahead, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung requested that the Hai Phong Municipal Police Department focus on implementing the key tasks approved at the conference, and particularly the Resolution of the 8th Congress of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Resolution of the Congress of the Hai Phong Municipal Police Party Committee.

The Deputy Minister also requested that the Hai Phong Police Force thoroughly implement the directives of the Prime Minister, the conclusions of the Minister of Public Security at the 81st National Public Security Conference, and the directives of the city’s Party Committee, while advising the city’s Party Committee to issue a resolution to lead security and order work in 2026.

Speaking at the event, Secretary of the Hai Phong Municipal Party Committee Le Tien Chau highly acclaimed the achievements of the Hai Phong Police Department in recent times. He called on the local police force to continue making greater efforts and playing a decisive key role in combating crime, safeguarding national security, ensuring social order and safety, as well as creating a safe and healthy environment for the city to attract investment and promote socio-economic development.
