The design-decoration contest will be organized for reknowned public areas of the city, namely August Revolution Square, Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, Ly Thai To monument; for urban streets such as Trang Tien, Hang Khay, Trang Thi, Ba Trieu, Hai Ba Trung, Hang Bai, Ngo Quyen, Phan Dinh Phung, Dien Bien Phu, Hung Vuong, Thanh Nien, Kim Ma, Van Cao; and big intersections, gateways and bridges of the capital.

The winning designs will be realized in the above places during holidays and major anniversaries of the city and the country, say the 42th Anniversary of the liberation of South Vietnam and national reunification; the President Ho Chi Minh's 127th birth anniversary; the 63th anniversary of Hanoi Liberation Day and during APEC summit 2017.
According to the Hanoi Municipal Department of Culture and Sport, the 12 best designs will win first prize with VND 20 million each and other participants will receive VND2 million each.
The contest will be opened for entries twice on March 26- 30 and August 28-30 while the results will be announced in December.
