Held by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, the annual festival aimed to stimulate local tourism and enhance the quality of tourism and services in the city and in Vietnam in general.
The festival featured more than 150 pavilions, including nearly 50 pavilions from other provinces and cities and travel enterprises across the country. Pavilions have been arranged in three spaces: tourism stimulus space, exhibition space, and culinary space.
Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Duong Anh Duc said, “Ho Chi Minh City wishes to work closely with localities to effectively conduct tourism development activities with attractive and unique tourism products and services, towards two-way exchange of guests”.
A highlight of the festival was a tourism job fair held on the morning of April 7 to connect tourism businesses with the workforce and the students at tourism training institutions.
The festival also organized three seminars on the tourism industry including “Training and recruitment of the Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry in 2023”, “Tourism promotion conference in eight Northwest provinces”, and “Tourism promotion conference in eight Northeast provinces".
As informed, during the course of the four-day event, travel firms reached VND105 billion in revenue. The figure represented an increase of more than 40,000 visitors and VND39 billion in revenue compared to 2022.
