The tournament brought together football teams from the embassies of the United States, Australia, Laos and Cambodia, as well as squads from several public security units and agencies. The event was part of a series of activities celebrating the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnamese Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025).

The friendly matches aimed to create a vibrant spirit and strengthen solidarity among the Public Security Forces and international partners, reflecting the proactive and open-minded approach of the Public Security Forces in promoting cooperation with the international community.

More than just a sporting event, the tournament contributed to enhancing friendship and collaboration between the Ministry of Public Security and diplomatic missions, international organizations and foreign law enforcement rep-office in Vietnam.

Eight participating teams included: four from the embassies of the United States, Australia, Laos and Cambodia in Vietnam and the remaining four from the People's Security Academy, the Environmental Police Department, MobiFone Corporation and the Department of Foreign Relations.

With impressive goals, beautiful plays and a strong spirit of fair play, the players delivered a powerful message of peace, cooperation and friendship among nations.

The event also provided an opportunity to strengthen mutual understanding, promote information sharing and foster professional support among international partners, contributing to more effective collaboration in the fight against transnational crime and in maintaining regional and global security.

At the end of the tournament, the MobiFone team emerged as champions, followed by the U.S. Embassy team in second place and the Environmental Police Department in the third place.

In recent years, the Ministry of Public Security has maintained international sporting exchanges, particularly football tournaments, considering them as an effective channel of people-to-people diplomacy, with the aim of promoting the image of the Vietnamese Public Security Forces as a friendly, professional partner always ready to integrate and cooperate for shared security objectives.
