Thua Thien Hue offers jobs to people returning from pandemic-hit localities

By August 4, some 13,000 people, who had returned to their home in Thua Thien Hue from pandemic-hit localities, were quarantined at medical facilities or concentrated isolation center.

From April to the beginning of August, the number of people native to Thua Thien Hue returning home from pandemic-affected localities was 35,000. Most of them were unemployed after returning home.

To support the people, a garment company in Phong Dien industrial zone of Thua Thien – Hue recently offered jobs to those who have skills at garment. Additionally, the company introduced attractive offers, including supporting 100% cost of PCR testing for the recruits and giving high salaries to skilled workers.

Other companies specializing in garment and production of electronic equipment and components also wanted to employ hundreds of skilled workers and offered free training courses to labors without skills.

Nguyen Duy Thong, Director of the Provincial Job Services Center of Thua Thien Hue, said his center has provided timely and various information on the job market, and changed the methods to consult labors on jobs.

Dang Huu Phuc, Director of the Provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, said the authorities mobilized all resources to prevent and control COVID-19 on one hand, and directed all relevant departments and agencies to create favorable conditions for the unemployed workers to find jobs and stabilize their lives in their home province on the other hand.
