The “Peaceful Homeland” 2026 videography contest is jointly organized by the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Education and Training to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the People’s Security Force (July 12, 1946 – July 12, 2026). The contest is open to secondary school students in grade 8 and above as well as Vietnamese students at home and abroad, cadets from public security academies and schools, and officers and soldiers currently serving in the People’s Public Security Forces.
Entries included videos spanning a wide range of genres and presentation styles, focusing on human-interest stories, acts of kindness, law-abiding behavior, civic responsibility, and the achievements of the People’s Public Security Forces and the public in safeguarding national security and ensuring social order and safety.
The Organizing Committee received 3,447 entries, including 2,086 from secondary school students (grade 8 and above) and university students; 1,286 from officers and soldiers of the People’s Public Security Forces; and 75 from cadets and students from public security academies and schools. After several rounds of evaluation, the Committee awarded 255 prizes.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung stated that the Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Training, organized the “Peaceful Homeland” creative contest to vividly and authentically spread human-centered narratives, acts of kindness, and the silent sacrifices and contributions of officers and soldiers from the People’s Public Security Forces. The contest also aims to highlight the public's cooperation and solidarity with the Public Security Forces in protecting national security and maintaining social order and safety, thereby building a strong people’s security posture in the digital era.
The contest also provides the younger generation a platform to share positive stories, unique perspectives, and suggestions for building a secure and safe society. This helps raise legal awareness, identify, prevent, and combat law violations, especially fraud and high-tech crimes, and fosters a movement of positive digital content creation in cyberspace.
Notably, the contest aims to translate the directive spirit of General Secretary and President To Lam into action by disseminating authoritative information and fostering a healthier, more positive cyberspace. By harnessing the advantages of modern technology, the initiative aims to promote humanitarian values and positive messages, guided by the principle of “using the good and the beautiful to overcome the negative, and trust to dispel uncertainty.”
Emphasizing that the contest provides an opportunity not only to honor outstanding entries but also to further promote the values of peace and security, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung said he hoped its impact would extend well beyond the contest. He encouraged every public security officer to advocate respect for the law, every teacher to inspire patriotism, every student to embrace creativity and equip themselves with the legal knowledge needed for self-protection, and every citizen to play an active role in safeguarding a peaceful homeland.
Disseminating truthful information and spreading acts of generosity will help build a safe, disciplined, healthy, civilized, harmonious, and developed social environment, as well as strengthen the people’s security posture, and protect a peaceful homeland.
