On October 25, the Thang Mo Commune Police Station in Tuyen Quang province, in coordination with the Thang Mo Commune Military Command and the Bach Dich Border Guard Station, organized a search and rescue operation for a seriously injured local resident who had been trapped in a forest stream area.
Earlier, at around 10 a.m. the same day, Mr. T.V.S. (born 1964, residing in Sung Lang hamlet, Thang Mo commune) went to collect firewood in the forest and stream area of Ha Gia hamlet. By late evening, he had not returned, so his family began a search for him. But they failed to find him, and then reported the incident to the local authorities.
Upon receiving the information, the Thang Mo Commune Police Station promptly coordinated with the Commune Military Command and the Bach Dich Border Guard Station to deploy search forces. The search was hampered by darkness and the rugged, mountainous terrain with many deep streams. The search force decided to divide itself into several small groups to comb areas where the victim was likely to be trapped in.
At around 10 p.m. on the same day, the rescue force found Mr. T.V.S. unconscious at the bottom of a deep ravine in the stream, with severe injuries on his head, legs and both eyes.
The rescue force provided first aid on site, and organized the transport of the victim through the challenging forest and stream terrain to the commune health station, before transferring him to Yen Minh Regional General Hospital for further treatment.
By the morning of October 26, Mr. T.V.S. had regained consciousness and he is gradually recovering.
Previously, on the afternoon of October 23, the Quang Nguyen Commune Police Station in Tuyen Quang province also assisted a local resident involved in a traffic accident in Quang Ha hamlet.
The victim was Mr. T.T.C. (born 1995, residing in Thuong Minh hamlet, Tien Nguyen commune, Tuyen Quang province). According to initial reports, Mr. C. lost control while riding a motorcycle, so he and his vehicle fell down a steep embankment, approximately 20 meters deep, resulting in bad injuries.
Upon being informed of the incident, the Quang Nguyen Commune Police Station quickly sent officers to the scene for assistance. The police then found the victim, brought up from the accident site, and took him to a local medical facility for emergency care.
The victim is now under treatment at Na Chi Regional Hospital in Khuon Lung commune.
Through the two cases, the Tuyen Quang Police Force has demonstrated their readness for unscheduled duties, and their high sense of repossiblity to safety and lives of people.
