The country’s tea export volume to the Australian market made up just 0.08% of total Australian tea imports, marking an increase of 0.02 percentage points compared to last year’s corresponding period.
The average import price of Vietnamese tea enjoyed an annual surge of 14.1% to reach US$12,308 per tonne. At present, both Vietnamese black and green tea are favoured by Australian consumers.
Currently, India, Sri Lanka, Poland, the United Arab Emirates, and Indonesia make up the top five suppliers to the Australian market, accounting for 85.9% of Australia’s total imports during the reviewed period.
