The Public Security Football Club (PSFC) held a ceremony start its national football season 2022 on February 28. General To Lam, Minister of Public Security attended the event.
Major General Le Van, Chairman of the PSFC, stated that the football club has developed in both organization and expertise since 2020. Starting to play in the Vietnamese League 2, the PSFC was, last year, qualified to participate in the Vietnamese League 1. The club has also contributed young and talented football players to the National Under-23 Team.
In early 2022, 3 players of the club joined the Vietnam U23 Team and won the U23 Southeast Asian Football Championship.
Addressing the ceremony, Minister To Lam congratulated the achievements of PSFC in 2021. He stressed that the physical training and sports movements in the People's Public Security Forces attract a large number of officers and soldiers, and brought about fruitful outcomes.
The minister wished that the People's Public Security Forces would gain more successes in sport tournaments, contributing to the general achievements of national sports while the Public Security Football Team would play well in the 2022 national football season as well as provide young and talented players to the Vietnamese football team.
