The app facilitates citizen management in pandemic-hit areas nationwide.

That app is connected to the National Population Database.

At first, the app had been piloted in Hanoi and Quang Ninh before the official launch.

The Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order has sent leaders of all centrally-run cities and provinces the guidance toward the use of the app.

With the launch of the app, when people use mobile phones or computers with Internet connection to declare their medical status on website suckhoe.dancuquocgia.gov.vn or via the app initiated by the Ministry of Health, they will have to enter their residential address to get their QR code. The QR code serves as a travel permit for people to go through medical checkpoints.

The app helps people save time when going through medical checkpoints and prevent traffic congestions at COVID-19 checkpoints.

As the app launched by the MPS is connected to the National Population Database, all personal information about people will be accurate.

Senior Colonel Phung Duc Thang, Vice Head of the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order, said the app will help functional forces to manage people entering or exiting pandemic-hit areas, so authorities can promptly trace Covid suspects, and therefore save time, effort and money.

On the afternoon of the same day, the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order coordinated with Saint Paul Hospital in Hanoi to pilot a system capable of managing COVID-19 vaccination connected with the National Population Database.
