The festival will be held from July 27 to July 29, 2024, at Hoiana’s beachfront area (Quang Nam Province, Vietnam).
This groundbreaking event marks the debut of an international festival dedicated to kite art in Quang Nam. The festival aims to showcase the craftsmanship and beauty of kite making and performing while also establishing itself as an annual highlight on the region's cultural and tourism calendar to attract both domestic and international tourists to Quang Nam in particular and Central Vietnam in general.
Visitors can look forward to an array of activities, including captivating kite flying performances by teams from over 13 different countries and territories including India, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Mainland China, Australia, Vietnam, Taiwan (China) and Hong Kong (China). The festival will feature a diverse range of kites and a colorful display area that promises to enchant audiences of all ages. One of the festival's main attractions will be the spectacular LED kite flying program, illuminating the night sky on July 27, and 28, along with three grand music nights.
In addition to the artistic kite displays, visitors can immerse themselves in kite-making workshops, enjoy a variety of international cuisines, witness mesmerizing magic shows, experience unique fire dance performances, and partake in a myriad of other entertainment activities.
The International Kite Festival - Quang Nam 2024 is part of the Hoiana Summer Vibes 2024 event series, running from June to September 2024. This series aims to attract both domestic and foreign tourists to Quang Nam with a diverse range of cultural, sports, and tourism events.
