The 4th International Food Festival 2016 held in Hanoi

PSNews – The Service Department for Diplomatic Corps under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the 4th Food Festival 2016 on December 11th at Van Phuc Diplomatic Compound, 298 Kim Ma street, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi. 

The 4th Food Festival 2016 was taken place under the patronage of Mrs. Nguyen Nguyet Nga, Ambassador and spouse of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Mrs. Nga expressed her delight and stressed that the festival was held to celebrate the ASEAN Community’s Founding Anniversary and upcoming APEC 2017. In addition, it provided a great opportunity for international diplomats to exchange culture, promote mutual understanding, as well as for the host to introduce the image of Vietnam to international friends through embassies and foreign cultural centers.

The 4th Food Festival 2016 included more than 100 stands from embassies, foreign cultural centers, units of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, local Foreign Affairs Departments as well as other companies and sponsors.

Apart from various activities as tasting of regional and national specialties and traditional music performances, the festival held a fundraising for extremely poor local women and children and flood-stricken families in Ha Tinh, which attracted the participation of a number of domestic and international donors.
