The Lycée Français Alexandre Yersin starts the school year in its new premises

Inaugurated in 1982, the Lycée français Alexandre Yersin (LFAY) or the LFAY High School is one of the most prestigious international schools in Hanoi, with nearly 980 students between the age of 3 to 18.

The LFAY high school had been settled in the Ba Dinh neighbourhood of Hanoi for many years and was in need of new and larger premises in order to provide students and staff with working conditions at the level of excellence promoted by the education of the AEFE, the Overseas French Education Agency.

The construction works of the new school in the Long Bien district began in 2016, and was finished during the first semester of 2018. Finally, on September 4th 2018 students and parents had the opportunity to discover the new premises.

The new LFAY High School is located a few streets away from the Long Bien bridge, on an area of 2.8 Ha of land, and represents a harmonious architectural unity in which French and Vietnamese cultures come together.

The structure is composed of 4 separate areas: Physical education facilities; Middle School and High School study area; Living quarters; Primary School.

All of the above areas are interconnected by a spacious corridor street, which was designed by the architects to resemble the streets of Hanoi and to connect all the various areas on every different floor of the building.

On the outside, the school is surrounded by numerous gardens and playgrounds.

The new LFAY High School is an architectural achievement which offers the best learning environment to satisfy the needs of the students and teachers.

The LFAY High School is an institution directly managed by the AEFE (Overseas French Education Agency). School curricula are designed according the French National curriculum.
