Head of the Department of Performing Arts Nguyen Dang Chuong said that the event will be a very good occasion to promote Vietnam.

Miss Grand International is among the five largest beauty contests in the world, attracting participants from 80-90 countries.

During the contest, the participants often visit and support war-affected children; join other charity activities and contribute to efforts for peace. The competition includes swimsuit and national costume performance; preliminary round and final round.

Vietnamese contestant Nguyen Thi Loan is in the top 20 at Miss Grand International 2016 held in the US on October 9-26. She is also among the pageant’s top 10 in the best national costume round.
