10 years of Public Security science and technology development strategy summarized

PSNews-The Ministry of Public Security organized a conference to summarize 10 years implementing the science and technology development strategy of Public Security Forces and to discuss orientations towards 2020 and 2030.

The event was attended by Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security and leaders of different departments and agencies.

Under the chair of Deputy Minister Bui Van Thanh, participants at the conference discussed both difficulties and advantages in implementing the strategy, and proposed solutions to technique development and application of technology to practical task performances of the public security forces in the future.

At the conference, Minister To Lam and Mr. Tran Viet Thanh, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology recognized and praised scientists of the public security forces for their important contributions over the past time to the cause of protecting national security and maintaining social order.

Minister To Lam urged involved forces to heighten the awareness of the important role science and technology in building the capabilities of the public security forces.

It is important to grasp thoroughly and implement strictly and effectively the guidelines and policies by the Party, the State, the Ministry of Public Security on developing science and technology, in line with the objectives and tasks articulated in the Resolution by the Central Party Committee of the 12th term, the 2011-2020 strategy for science and technology development by the Government, the 2013 Law on Science and Technology, and Resolution No. 16 dated 05/3/2014 by the Central Party Committee of Public Security on science in the new situation.

He also stressed the need to cooperate with partners with advanced science and technology to promote technology exchange and training of science and technology personnel of the public security forces.

Under the authorization of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Minister To Lam presented Certificates of Merit to the 01 group, 06 individuals while Deputy Minister Bui Van Thanh awarded Certificates of Merit of the MPS to 22 units and 25 individuals with their outstanding achievements.
