11th Public Security Television Festival opens

PSNews – The 11th Public Security Television Festival of 2017 (September 11-15) started on September 11th themed “Professional – Effective – Friendly” in Quang Nam province. 

Present at the opening ceremony of the festival in the Quang Nam Cultural Center were Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security; General Director of Vietnam Television Tran Binh Minh, leaders of the Quang Nam authorities as well as representatives other ministries and public security units.

Delivering the opening speech, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh stated that: “The 11th Public Security Television Festival is a meaningful and important event. We are also very proud of responsible and bravery reporters and editors of the public security press and media, who have contributed to ensuring social order and security of the country.”

In particular, the establishment of the ANTV channel has strongly supported public security forces in promoting information and communications activities, contributing to opening a new chapter of the public security forces.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh also underscored that the festival is also a chance for leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam Television as well as people to assess the outcomes and limitations in disseminating information on the media about public security forces’ activities. 

Via the festival, leaders of the Public Security Channel and Vietnam Television can absorb good ideas and suggestions to better popularize national security and social order work of the Public Security Forces in the future.

For a successful festival, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh instructed the organizing board to closely collaborate with involved units of the Ministry of Public Security and Vietnam Television during 5 days of the festival to overcome all difficulties and to fulfill assignments.

After addressing the opening ceremony, he beat the drum, inaugurating the 11th Public Security Television Festival of 2017.

At the opening ceremony, there was a good art show performed by people of Quang Nam, as well as officers, soldiers and journalists of the Public Security Forces.

The 11th Public Security Television Festival of 2017 themed “Professional – Effective – Friendly” drew the participations of 88 delegations with 400 participants from public security units and other television agencies across the country.
