The event, which was broadcasted live on Public Security TV (ANTV) Channel and channel of the Can Tho Radio and Television Station, saw the presence of Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, General Director of VTV Le Ngoc Quang, Secretary of the Can Tho Municipal Party Committee Le Quang Manh, Director of Department for Information and Communication Major General Do Trieu Phong, Director of the Can Tho Municipal Police Department Major General Nguyen Van Thuan and other senior delegates.
The festival, with the motto "Professional - Effective - Friendly", has drawn the participation of 500 journalist and reporters from 74 delegations, of which 66 delegations are from public security media agencies and 8 from media agencies outside the People's Public Security Forces. The Organizing Committee has received nearly 600 high-quality works in different categories.
Delivering his opening remarks, Vice Secretary of Can Tho Municipal People’s Committee Duong Tan Hien emphasized that the festival gathered television and radio agencies inside and outside the Public Security Forces. Each of the 600 entries is a bold depiction of the land and people of different localities in an informative, humane and reliable manner. He also expressed his pleasure that the MPS had chosen Can Tho as the venue for the 13th People's Public Security Television and Radio Festival.
Deputy Minister of Public Security Tran Quoc To warmly welcomed all leaders, delegates, representatives from different public security units, media agencies nationwide to the festival.
He also highlighted various new contents of this year’s festival which were in line with modern communication trends in line with the process of national digital transformation, contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution 12-NQ/TW issued on 16 March, 2022 by the 13th Politburo on building truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern Public Security Forces in the new situation.
This was also an opportunity for Can Tho to promote its rich culture to the whole country. He hoped that the festival would be of great success, making good impressions on all delegates and audiences.
