2,000 infertile couples to be checked for free

PSNews-From August 5 to 18, the Andrology and Fertility Hospital of Hanoi will offer a “Golden Week – Cultivation of Happiness 2017” with the theme “Connecting Love” to raise public awareness of infertility and offer financial support for infertile and subfertile couples. 

This information was reported by the hospital on July 11, on the occasion of the World Population Day. Accordingly, during the Golden Week, the hospital will offer 2,000 free consultations, examinations and ultrasound checks.

This is an annual activity of the hospital, contributing to raising public awareness of risks and causes of injuries or bad effects on reproductive health as well as providing knowledge of prevention, early detection and timely treatment of infertility with the aid of advanced techniques.

Since the establishment of the Department of Reproductive Medicine in 2012, in addition to professional activities, the hospital frequently organizes programs to support infertile patients in various forms, including the Golden Week, said Dr. Nguyen Khac Loi, Director of the Hospital.

Thanks to each program organized annually, the number of beneficiary couples, particularly poor ones, increases, he added.

Today’ advanced medicine has various methods helping infertile and subfertile couples have babies, said Dr. Le Thi Thu Hien, Director of the Hospital. Provided that the couple are aware of their situation and go to specialists soon, the possibility of success is high, she added.
