2017 Central Highlands festival program released

PSNews - Dac Lac Provincial People’s Committee held a press conference to announce the 6th Buon Ma Thuat Coffee Festival and 2017 Highlands Gong Festival on December 25.

The festival program is annually organized  to promote the “Buon Ma Thuot Coffee” brand, the position of coffee products of Dac Lac province in particular and of Vietnam in general on the international market.

The festival program themed “Hoi tu tinh hoa – Phat huy ban sac – Lien ket phat trien” (Convergence of quintessence, promotion of identity, connection for development), will be organized from March 3rd to 13th, 2017 in Buon Ma Thuot city known as the coffee capital of Vietnam.

The 2017 program will contain, major activities, namely the 6th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, the 2017 Highland Gong Festival and the 4th Conference on Promoting Investment in Central Highlands.

It aims to raise public awareness of the conservation, introduction and promotion of the cultural characteristics of the Central Highlands ethnic minority groups, especially the valuable space the Gong Culture in the Central Highlands, recognized by UNESCO as "Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity" in 2005 and listed as "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity "in 2008.
