A blood donation campaign was held on December 2 by the Provincial Police Department of Vinh Long in coordination with the Provincial Red Cross and the Hospital of Hematology and Blood Transfusion of Can Tho.
The Provincial Police Youth Union Chapter planned to organize blood donation in different days to avoid large people gathering in the venue, contributing to ensuring COVID-19 prevention and combat regulations.
Captain Vo Be Nam, Secretary of the Provincial Police Youth Union Chapter, said some 500 police officers and soldiers would join the blood donation drive, which would run through December 10.
70 police officers and soldiers come to the venue to donate their blood each day on average.
