The 79th National Public Security Conference continued its second working day, during which delegates heard reports from Deputy Ministers on the results of the working fields they were responsible for, and opinions of other delegates.

Later, the conference summarized the emulation movement “For Homeland Security” in 2023 and announced units and officers to be presented with various awards by the Party, State and Ministry of Public Security for outstanding achievements at work.

Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Minister To Lam emphasized that 2024 is the fourth year to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress so it is considered the year of "acceleration" to "reach the finish line" in 2025. 

In that context, the People's Public Security Forces should continue to renovate their working methods and make more effort to accomplish all their tasks and reach all goals. 

The Minister requested the entire People's Public Security Forces to proactively grasp the situation and promptly give higher-level authorities strategic advice on national security, social order and safety.

Overview of the conference.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam launched the emulation movement "For Homeland Security" in 2024 and called on all public security officers and soldiers to consolidate internal unity, uphold their sense of responsibility,  spirit, overcome all difficulties and challenges, make their part to the building of truly clean, strong, regular, elite, and modern People's Public Security Forces, and strive to successfully complete all of their assignments.

Minister To Lam underlined, "We have worked hard in 2023, and it's good. We have to work harder, try harder to achieve even better results."

At the end of the working day, the 79th National Public Security Conference was successfully concluded.
