7th Public Security Party Congress successfully concluded

PSNews – The 7th Public Security Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term concluded with success on October 13 after three days of working in a united, democratic and responsible manner.

The Congress discussed, gave ideas to all draft documents made and presented by the Public Security Central Party Committee to the Congress.

The delegates finally adopted the official documents of the 7th Public Security Party Congress for the 2020-25 term, including the political report, the report on the review of the leadership of the Public Security Central Party Committee in the 2015-2020 term, the summarization of opinions and ideas given by Party members in the Public Security Forces and delegates at the Congress to draft documents to be presented at the upcoming 13th National Party Congress.

The Congress also voted a delegation of 27 official delegates and two alternate delegates who together with five ex officio delegates of the Public Security Central Party Committee represent the entire Public Security Party Organization to attend the upcoming 13th National Party Congress.

The documents, adopted at the Congress, crystallized the wisdom and will of the entire Public Security Party Organization and the People’s Public Security Forces as a whole. They reasserted that, in any circumstance, the Public Security Forces will be absolutely loyal to the Party, State, and people.

At the Congress, the delegates also approved the main tasks, solutions to the limitations in the Public Security Party Organization’s implementation of the 6th Public Security Party Congress’s resolution, as well as missions and targets for the 2020-25 term of the Public Security Party Organization. 

The 7th Public Security Party Congress demonstrated the strong determination of the Public Security Party Organization to improve its leadership capacity and combat strength, to build a clean and strong Party organization, as well as to develop the Public Security Forces as an elite and modernized force by 2030.

The congress determined the Public Security Forces’ key role in maintaining national security, ensuring social order and safety, and building an orderly, disciplined, safe and healthy society, contributing positively to building and firmly safeguarding the Socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.

Speaking at the event on behalf of the leadership of Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, General To Lam emphasized that the 7th Public Security Party Congress was really an example of a Party congress as expected by Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong.

General To Lam said, the Congress is an important political event, marking a new milestone in the development of the Central Party Committee and the Public Security Forces.

“In the coming time, we face many difficulties and challenges alongside advantages and opportunities. The future development of the Public Security Party Organization and the Public Security Forces depends on the effort, training, and leadership of each Party organization, of each cadre and Party member in the entire force”, General To Lam stressed.

Minister To Lam requested that, right after the Congress, Party committees of all public security agencies and units under the Public Security Central Party Committee should actively study and thoroughly grasp the resolution of the Congress, and draw up their own specific working plans and programs in accordance with the 7th Public Security Party Congress’s Resolution and the resolutions of the Party Congresses of the localities where they are stationed.

In his speech, General To Lam also expressed deep gratitude to the Party, State, as well as Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong, ministries, Central agencies and localities for their supports and contributions to the success of the Congress. He thanked the press and media for covering the Congress in a timely and informative manner.
