800 blood units collected in “Mua cau vong” festival

PSNews – The National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and Hanoi Youth Chapter for Blood Donation organized on November 19 a blood donation festival themed “Mua cau vong (Rainbow)” in Nguyen Thi Minh Khai high school (Hanoi).

800 blood units have been collected so far in the “Mua cau vong” festival.

Over the past 8 years, “Mua cau vong” has become the rendezvous for young volunteers, and the program has so far collected 6,000 blood units. The festival has also organized many meaningful activities bringing faith in life and relieve pains of thousands of patients.

This year, with the message of "Bac nhip yeu thuong” (connecting hearts), the program aimed to encourage individuals and the community as a whole to join hands in doing good deeds and serve as a bridge of mercy to connect hearts together and bring warm blood units to the needy patients”.

Previously, the blood donation festival was held in the University of Commerce with the participation of a large number of students.

 The blood collected was taken to the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion for medical treatment.
