According to him, over the past time, the DHSS has obtained various achievements in developing scientific theoretical foundations for the work of ensuring security and social order of the People's Public Security Forces.

Each year, the Department develops plans to conduct some 20 strategic research projects on subjects related to national security and public order and force building. In addition, the DHSS actively advises leaders of the Party, the State and the MPS on plans and approaches to handle major issues related to national security and public order based on in-depth analyses of domestic and international situations.

Addressing the event, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung spoke highly of the department's efforts and achievements over the past time.

Given the complicated developments in the world and the region, the MPS leader asked the DHSS to further develop and complete legal documents to create favorable conditions for scientific research activities in the Public Security Forces.

At the same time, the department should actively advise the MPS leadership to build and complete mechanisms and policies on science and technology development in support of the public security education and training sector.

The Deputy Minister also urged the DHSS to review its ten-year implementation of the Central Public Security Party Committee's Resolutions on the development of theories on the People's Public Security Forces’ professional activities while giving the review of public security scientists in order to work out appropriate plans to further the development of public security scientists in the new context.
