The conference saw the presence of Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security.
Reports at the event read that, over the past six months, the Provincial Police Department of An Giang implemented various plans and measures to ensure security and order during the 13th National Party Congress and the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels.
The provincial police were honored by the Prime Minister for their outstanding achievements in fulfilling the two important projects of national database on population and production, and issuing and managing electronic citizen identification cards.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc appreciated the efforts and achievements of the provincial police over the past 6 months. He also spoke highly of the provincial police department’s efforts in managing illegal entry and exit as well as in dissemination on prevention and combat of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The deputy minister highlighted major assignments that the provincial police forces should fulfill to ensure security and order. He also pointed out complicated issues in border areas.The provincial police should make more efforts in fighting crimes, especially economic crime and corruption, the deputy minister stressed.
On this occasion, the provincial police announced a decision on presenting 100 houses of gratitude to needy police officers and soldiers.
