ANTV marks its 5th Birth Anniversary

PSNews-The General Department of Politics of Public Security Forces (G.D 3) and the Public Security Radio, Television and Film Center solemnly celebrated the 5th birthday of ANTV (People’s Public Security TV).

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Member of Politburo and Minister of Public Security attended and delivered a speech, honoring ANTV.

Participants at the event included other leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and representatives of other ministries, agencies, and organizations.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister To Lam congratulated ANTV on its achievements obtained over the past 5 years.

During the time, ANTV successfully performed its role as an information dissemination channel, contributing to ensuring political security and social order and safety and promoting the position of the Public Security Forces.

ANTV also serves as an important information channel for the Central Public Security Party Committee, sporting leaders of the MPS in directing all activities of the public security forces, and as a bridge to connect the forces to other civilian agencies and branches, civil organizations in the cause of maintaining security and order, and as a forum for all to exchange and promote academic and political knowledge as well as legal and professional skills for police soldiers, officers and people.

The fruitful results ANTV achieved in the past 5 years have marked a new development of the public security press, in line with the development trend of the contemporary information and communications age, meeting an increasing need of viewers, making an important contribution to protecting national security, maintaining social order and safety and building a strong force, and effectively serving the cause of industrialization and modernization, international integration of the country, for a wealthy strong, democratic, equal and civilized country.

In the time to come, the security situation in the world may continue to see complex developments as globalization, international integration, scientific and technological revolution, and the knowledge economy keep growing; but traditional and non-traditional, cyber security challenges and newly emerged types of conflicts trend to increase. Ethnic and religious conflicts, terrorism, and disputes over borders and islands here and there may leave a profound impact on national security of Vietnam.

On its 5th birth occasion, ANTV was honored by the State President with a Feat of Arm Order of the second class; 35 teams, 480 individuals of ANTV were awarded various Certificates of Merit by the Government, the Ministry of Public Security, the General Department of Politics of the Public Security Forces, heads of agencies and departments.

ANTV is ranked among top TV channels with largest numbers of viewers nationwide.
