Bac Giang police urged to focus on force building work and administrative reforms

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security on July 28 worked with the Bac Giang Provincial Police Department on tasks’ performance in this year’s first 6 months.

The working session focused on the implementation of Resolution 4 of the 12th Party Central Committee, Directive 05 of the Politburo and the campaign "Building brave and humane police officers to serve people".

Briefing the deputy minister and other delegates on achievements of the Bac Giang Provincial Police over the past time, Senior Colonel Pham Manh Thuong, Director of the Bac Giang Provincial Police stated that the provincial police forces have well advised authorities at all levels on security and social order and safety, and closely cooperated with relevant agencies and forces in effectively carrying out the missions of ensuring of national security, social order and safety.

According to Senior Colonel Pham Manh Thuong, violations of social order have been reduced by 3%, while 100% criminal cases have been discovered. The provincial police forces also effectively fought drug-related crime. Firefighting and fire prevention, traffic order and safety were strengthened; as a result, traffic accidents were reduced in all three categories.

The Director of the Bac Giang Provincial Police also informed that, Party organizations under the Provincial Police Party Committee have well implemented Resolution 4 of the 12

th Party Central Committee, Directive 05 of the Politburo and the campaign "Building brave and humane police officers to serve people", in accordance with the guidance of the Ministry of Public Security.

“Self-criticism and criticism of the 27 manifestations of degradation in political ideology, morals, lifestyles and  "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" gradually become regular activities,” said Senior Colonel Pham Manh Thuong.

At the working session, representatives of units under the Bac Giang Provincial Police also pointed out some advantages and difficulties in carrying out police work, and then made various suggestions to leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and relevant agencies to deal with the difficulties.

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh highly appreciated the achievements of the Bac Giang Provincial Police in the past time, especially in maintaining security, discovering serious criminal cases and fighting against drug-related crimes.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh urged the Bac Giang Provincial Police to well manage immigration work; to thoroughly grasp situations of industrial zones in the province. The provincial police should advice the Provincial Party Committee; People’s Council and People’s Committee on handling disputes, lawsuits, ensuring security and order from the basic level.

“Regarding social order, it is necessary to continue drastically fighting all kinds of criminals, especially gangs and drug criminals”, emphasized the Deputy Minister.

The Bac Giang Provincial Police was urged to pay special attention to force building work and administrative reforms, contributing to creating the best conditions for the people.

The Deputy Minister also requested the Bac Giang Provincial Police to continue effectively implementing Resolution 4 of the 12th Party Central Committee, Directive 05 of the Politburo and the campaign "Building brave and humane police officers to serve people.”
