Recently, the Can Tho City Police Women's Union launched a social program called "Godmother" to support and care for orphans whose parents had died of COVID. The program had received great support from local authorities and people.

Since the program started, the Women's Union of the Can Tho City Police Department has raised funds to buy health and body insurance cards for 11 children, whose parents had died of COVID-19. The insurance cards will be valid until they reach the age of 18.

Additionally, the program granted these kids cloths, books, bicycles to go to school.

In the face of the complicated situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in Can Tho City, the program continues supporting 15 orphans, whose parents have died of COVID-19.

The very special “godmothers” of local orphans from the Can Tho City Police Women's Union have very much helped local orphans in both material and spiritual terms.
