CAND Newspaper and donors present Tet gifts to needy people in Long An

A social charitable mission of the Public Security (CAND) Newspaper together with kind donors has visited, inquired after and presented Tet gifts to needy households in Long An Province. 

A social charitable mission of the CAND Newspaper, led by Senior Colonel Tran Kim Tham, Deputy Director of the Department for Information and Communications under the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the CAND Newspaper visited and presented Tet gifts to needy people in Long Khe Commune, Can Duoc District, Long An Province.

Within the program, the social charitable mission has presented 100 packs of Tet gifts to local needy households with a total value of 100 million VND.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Oai, Secretary of the Party Committee of Long Khe Commune, the commune has 130 policy beneficiaries, 24 poor households and 44 near-poor households. 

He then extended his thanks to the CAND Newspaper for the support, affirming that the gifts from the CAND Newspaper and donors are very meaningful and practical. 

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Tran Kim Tham said that, for many years, the CAND Newspaper together with kind donors have been carrying out the program "Tet for the poor." Within the program, the CAND Newspaper's charitable missions hand over meaningful gifts to needy people and policy beneficiary families across the country.

This year, under the direction of Permanent Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh, the CAND Newspaper has organized many charitable trips to remote areas to present Tet gift to needy households and policy beneficiaries.

"Although our Tet gifts are not very valuable but they hold the sentiment of the Public Security Forces in general and the CAND Newspaper in particular to needy resident of Long Khe Commune. We hope that they will help local people to have a happier Tet," Senior Colonel Tran Kim Tham said.
