2017 was marked as a very eventful year for the press in general and the CAND Newspaper in particular. Under the leadership of the Central Public Security Party Committee and leadership of Ministry of Public Security, thanks to the supports of intellects, translators, writers and other collaborators at home and overseas, the CAND Newspaper successfully fulfilled its assigned tasks and was presented with the “Excellent Unit in Emulation” Flag from the Ministry of Public Security, said Major General Pham Van Mien.

Many journalists of the Newspaper won prizes at press contests of local, ministerial and national levels. In social charitable activities, it served as a trustable bridge between organizational and individual donors, and needy people throughout the country.

In 2017, the CAND Newspaper together with kind donors offered more than 20 billion VND to needy people and police officers with difficulties. "In the single program "Tet for the poor 2018", we have handed 8 billion VND to poor needy people and police officers with difficulties," Major General Pham Van Mien said.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh praised and congratulated the CAND Newspaper on the outstanding results of its task performance last year.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh affirmed that the press plays an important role in the current situation. Therefore in 2018, the CAND Newspaper should continue to give information quickly and on time to readers. As the country is entering the 4.0 industrial revolution, the newspaper needs to focus on multimedia communication products in order to bring rich and useful information to audience.

Delegates at the meeting  also congratulated the CAND Newspaper on their achievements in 2017. The collaborators expressed their happiness seeing the Newspaper developing strongly with various high-quality publications.

Major General Pham Van Mien, on behalf of all officials, reporters and officers of the CAND Newspaper, extended sincere thanks and wished a happy new year to all delegates. He hoped that all collaborators will continue to support the newspaper and join hands to improve the quality of all publications of the CAND newspaper.
