Central Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negative Phenomena works with Ministry of Foreign Affairs

A delegation from the Central Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negative Phenomena led by Member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security and Deputy Head of the Steering Committee General Luong Tam Quang, had a working session with the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the afternoon of December 2nd, 2024.

The working session was attended by Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary of the Party Civil Affairs Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son.

The working session aims to evaluate the work results of the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness and negative phenomena over the past time, especially in implementing resolutions and directions of the Central Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negative Phenomena.

At the working session, delegates frankly discussed related issues, pointed out not only achievements but also remaining shortcomings and limitations in the work of preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness and negative phenomena of the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Based on the discussion, delegates proposed approaches to effectively prevent and control corruption, wastefulness and negative phenomena in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, contributing to building a clean and strong diplomatic sector in the coming time.

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son underlined that the Party Civil Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented all viewpoints and guidelines of the Party, laws and policies of the State and inspection reports of the Central Inspection Commission, seriously corrected its mistakes and sought sound solutions to effectively prevent and control corruption, wastefulness and negative phenomena.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that all Party committees of the diplomatic sector would bring into full play the achievements in preventing and fighting corruption, wastefulness and negative phenomena, while drawing up a good plan to implement the work in a more effective manner in the new period.

Concluding the working session, Minister Luong Tam Quang highly appreciated the frankness and proactiveness of the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness and negative phenomena in the past time.

General Luong Tam Quang suggested that the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should promote the spirit throughout the sector, so that the entire diplomatic sector would reach consensus awareness and have determination to prevent and combat corruption, wastefulness and negative phenomena in the new revolutionary period, while working out specific approaches to early make thrift practice and anti-waste become a behavioral culture of diplomatic staff.
