Charitable mission of CAND Newspaper supports people in

PSNews – Needy people in Cam Thanh commune, Hoi An, Quang Nam will probably have a a happier traditional Lunar New Year Festival (Tet) as they have received meaningful gifts and care from a charitable mission of the Public Security (CAND) Newspaper.

Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Nam, former Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, on February 6 joined the charitable mission of the CAND Newspaper and Dai Phuc Company (based in Cau Giay, Hanoi) to visit Cam Thanh and present 100 gifts to needy and policy families. Mr. Kieu Cu, Secretary of the Hoi An Municipal Party Committee attended the gift-giving ceremony.

“Tet vi nguoi ngheo” (Tet for the poor) is an annual charitable program conducted by the CAND Newspaper and its partners to help poor people in various localities overcome their difficulties, said Lieutenant General Nam.

He also expressed his hope that the gifts donated by the CAND Newspaper and its partner, and care from the local authorities would help local residents have a better-off and happier Tet.
