Chief of MPS Office appointed as Deputy Minister of Public Security

The Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) solemnly held a ceremony to announce and hand over a decision of the Prime Minister to appoint Member of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Chief of the MPS Office Major General Dang Hong Duc as Deputy Minister of Public Security, on the afternoon of January 3rd, in Hanoi.

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang chaired the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Truong Hai Long announced the Prime Minister’s decision to appoint Member of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Chief of the MPS Office Major General Dang Hong Duc as Deputy Minister of Public Security.

Under the authority of the Prime Minister, Minister Luong Tam Quang handed over the appointment decision to Major General Dang Hong Duc.

Congratulating Major General Dang Hong Duc on his new appointment as Deputy Minister of Public Security, Minister Luong Tam Quang underlined that the appointment demonstrates the concern and care of the Party, the State and the People for the work of building revolutionary Public Security Forces, as well as the acknowledgments of the great contributions of the Public Security Forces in general and Major General Dang Hong Duc in particular to the cause of protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety.

The Minister hoped that the newly-appointed deputy minister will uphold revolutionary qualities, be absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, the Party, the State and the People, continuously improve his knowledge and professional expertise in all aspects, especially a capacity for strategic thinking on security and national defense

Finally, Minister Luong Tam Quang requested the newly-promoted deputy minister to stand side by side with the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS leadership to lead the Public Security Forces to successfully fulfill the missions of safeguarding national security and ensuring social order and safety, contributing to the cause of building and protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the new revolutionary period.

In his inaugural speech, newly-appointed Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc affirmed that he will thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the viewpoints, guidelines and policies of the Party and the State as well as the Minister’s instructions.

Deputy Minister Dang Hong Duc vowed to be absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, the Party, the State and the People, continuously self-study and self-train to improve his capacity so as to meet the requirements of his new responsibilities.
