Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam affirmed that the Party and State always acknowledge and be grateful to the public security officers and soldiers who have sacrificed themselves for the peace and happiness of the people and the revolutionary cause. 

He stated, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security always remember the heroic public security officers who have sacrificed themselves for the country and the people, and take due care of their next generations.

Every year, the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security also direct all public security agencies and units to carry out the "Gratitude returning" program and follow the Vietnamese tradition “When eating fruit, remember who plants it", as well as take care of wounded soldiers, families of fallen public security officers and people with meritorious service to the revolution. 

Over the past years, the Ministry of Public Security have organized a meaningful summer vacation for children of fallen and wounded public security officers at home and overseas.

In 2023, the Ministry of Public Security assigned public security agencies and units to make a list of children from fallen and wounded public security officers to take a two-week summer vacation program in Russia. This is the second time the Ministry of Public Security has organized such a trip to Russia since 2019.

At the meeting with the children before their trip to Russia, Minister To Lam stressed, the Public Security Central Party Committee always creates best conditions and takes good care of the children from the families of fallen and injured public security officers with the aim of returning gratitude to the fallen and injured officers and alleviating the irreparable losses of their families.

Minister To Lam also advised the children to follow instructions of in-charge officers, actively participate in activities during the summer vacation, and abide by the regulations of the delegation the laws of the target country.

Minister To Lam said: "You, the children of fallen and injured public security officers must be proud of your heroic parents, and try your best to be good students at school and good children of your fathers who have sacrificed their blood and lives for the cause of protecting national security and peaceful life of the people. When you are in Russia, you should show the proud tradition of your family and beautiful images of our country and people”.

At the meeting, the People's Public Security Forces’ Friendship Fund and Minister To Lam personally offered gifts to the children and wished them a safe and happy time in Russia.

On behalf of the children to go to Russia, Dang Viet Bao Lam, the daughter of injured police officer Dang Viet Quang and an excellent student at Hanoi Law University, thank the good care of the Party, State and the Ministry of Public Security, as well as the deep thought of Minister To Lam for the families of fallen and injured public security officers.
