Based on the national database on population, the communal police of Xuan Loc coordinated with the communal police force of Thanh Hoa (Bu Dop district, Binh Phuoc) to check various personal documents related to a man called Phan Van Y, 50.

They found out that Phan Van Y is a younger brother of Phan Thi Kim Duyen, 52, who is currently living in Binh Duong. The police then helped the two contact after 32 years of separation.

Duyen said she had tried to find Y for many years but she had failed. In her letter sent to the police on January 14, Duyen expressed her gratitude to the Communal Police Post of Xuan Loc for helping her meet her brother again after more than 3 decades.

Earlier, the Communal Police Post of Xuan Loc had also helped a man in HCM City to find his relatives after 27 years without contacts.
