Contest on Cybersecurity Law among People's Public Security Forces concluded

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, on May 29 chaired a meeting to review the writing contest themed "Learning about the Law on Cyber ​​Security" and award the outstanding contestants.

Over one year of implementation, the contest has drawn the participation of numerous public security officers, soldiers and cadets from various public security agencies, local units, and educational institutions.

For the final round, the contest’s Organizing Committee selected 363 good-quality articles from the 123,267 entries. Finally, the Organizing Committee chose 42 teams and 47 individuals with excellent projects to award one special prize, one first prize, ten second prizes, 20 third prizes, 50 consolation prizes and seven other prizes.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam recognized and praised the achievements obtained by the teams and individuals.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam requested that, in the coming time, all public security units and agencies  should further study and popularize the Law on Cybersecurity to their officials and soldiers, helping them improve their knowledge of the law and effectively apply it in prevention and fight against cybercrimes and other sabotage activities on the cyberspace.

They should actively advise authorities all levels to take measures to protect cybersecurity in their localities in accordance with the Law on Cybersecurity as well as urgently advise the Government to issue a decree guiding the implementation of the Law on Cybersecurity.

The public security academies and schools are tasked to revise and compile new textbooks in line with the Law on Cybersecurity and relevant guiding documents.
