Cultural activities successfully portray beautiful image of the police in 2022

In 2022, various quality plays featuring the beautiful image of the police officers have been introduced to the public by different cultural and artistic activities.

Cultural and artistic activities play an important role in promoting spiritual strength, solidarity, unity and optimism and trust of public security soldiers and officers.

The Ministry of Public Security has a drama troupe, a cinema troupe and a dance and music troupe. In addition to regular and professional artistic activities to serve the Public Security Forces, the troupes also organize many public art performances to serve the people, especially those in remote areas.

Despite many difficulties due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the artists from the Public Security Froces had been striving to meet cultural and artistic needs of public security officers and soldiers and people.

2022 began with the New Year Concert 2022 that organized by the Public Security Theater in collaboration with the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra, a meaningful gifts for police officers and soldiers and their families on the occasion of Lunar New Year. 

The audience since then had various opportunity to enjoy musical plays performed by artists of the Public Security Theater including “Nguoi cam lai” (The Man Who Steers The Nation), the first musical play of the Public Security Theater portraying late President Ho Chi Minh.

In 2022, the public security artists also strived to build more good programs to serve audiences, so people would understand that the Public Security Forces not only fight against crimes and ensure security and public order, but also have many other activities to improve both material and cultural lives of the people. These activities also contribute to cementing the close ties between the Public Security Forces and the people.

In June, the Public Security Forces’ Theater Week, hosted by the Ministry of Public Security, has attracted the participation of various theaters and art groups inside and outside the Public Security Forces. The event saw quality plays praising the great devotion and silent sacrifice of the People’s Police Forces.

The event also aimed at encouraging people to continue supporting the police force in the fight against crime as well as in the cause of safeguarding national security and ensuring social security and order.

Through the year, the Public Security Guard of Honor Troupe under the High Command of Mobile Police also came to different cities and provinces to play music for local audiences, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh cities, Son La, Lang Son.

In addition, the 2022 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) plus Police Music Festival kicked off on July 7 in Hanoi's downtown Hoan Kiem Lake area, marking the 60th anniversary of the traditional day of the People's Police Force (July 20).

The festival seek to improve mutual understanding of national cultural identity, countries and their people, and the development process of Vietnamese police and those from other countries. The event contributed to promoting the image of the beautiful country and the friendly and hospitable people of Vietnam to the international community, and foster cooperation between the Vietnamese police and the forces of other nations.

In 2023, the artists from the Public Security Froces would make more effort to overcome difficulties and improve the quality of its art performances to better practice and perform arts, so as to better serve public security officers and soldiers as well as people.
