Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang attended and delivered a keynote speech at the conference.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang stated, in the first 6 months of 2023, the Department of Cybersecurity and Counter-High-Tech Crime  successfully fulfilled its major tasks, particularly maintaining security and safety of important networks while efficiently preventing and fighting threats to national security, early detecting and neutralizing reactionary and hostile elements who spread fake and false information against the Party, State and people of Vietnam.

Regarding key tasks of the force in the coming time, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang suggested that the department should lead the force to thoroughly grasp, analyze and assess the situation in cyberspace, early detect potential cybersecurity issues as well as sophisticated methods and tricks of cyber criminals to promptly advise leaders at all levels to handle emerging issues early and from afar.

The department should strictly handle bad elements spreading fake news, malicious bad news, activities of illegal groups in cyberspace while focusing on investigating major, key cybersecurity cases.

It should review and advise competent authorities on implementation of legal documents, contributing to improving the efficiency of state management in the field of cybersecurity.

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang requested the Department of Cybersecurity and Ounter-High-Tech Crime to direct the operation of the Office of the Steering Committee on National Cybersecurity and Safety, and summarize the results of the 5-year implementation of the Politburo's Resolution No. 30 on the National Cybersecurity Strategy.
