Da Nang prepares medical services for APEC 2017 Summit

PSNews-The Health Department of Da Nang city deployed 23 different emergency medical teams at various hotels in order to ensure medical services for the APEC 2017 Summit Week.

In particular, the International Center for Health Quarantine has permanent medical teams to monitor body temperatures and health condition of passengers, crew members during their entry and transit to the city at Da Nang National Airport and Da Nang Port; and is ready to provide further medical examinations for passengers with signs of disease, and quickly quarantine patients.

An inspection delegation of the Ministry of Health led by Vice Minister Le Quang Cuong worked with Da Nang authorities on medical preparations for the 2017 APEC Summit.

According to the report from the Da Nang authorities, the local health sector has basically implemented health plans for the APEC 2017 Summit Week. The Department of Health of Da Nang has deployed 23 different emergency medical teams to various hotels in order to ensure medical services for the APEC 2017 Summit Week, including 17 teams at 17 hotels serving senior official delegates.

In addition, it is planned to arrange 9 other groups of preventive medicine at hospitals, including Da Nang C Hospital, Da Nang Hospital and 7 medical centers in various districts.

The City’s Food Safety and Hygiene Department is also responsible for conducting a general review of food safety conditions. It has set up three teams to inspect food courts to serve delegates of the APEC 2017 Summit, as well as hotels for high-ranking delegations and guests to attend the APEC from September 24 to October 20.
