The meeting also saw the presence of Mr. Luu Dinh Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

According to a report delivered by Senior Colonel Bui Quang Thanh, Director of the Dak Nong Provincial Police Department, in 2021, the Dak Nong police successfully fulfilled their tasks while effectively controlling the COVID-19 pandemic in the locality.

Notably, the Dak Nong police ensured safety and security for major political, socio-economic events as well as maintaining the security, social order situation in the locality. Thereby, they reduced 11.36% of crimes related to social order and cleared 96.47% of the criminal cases and 100 % of the serious cases.

In the fight against the pandemic, the Dak Nong police played a key role in the fight against COVID-19. During the 4th wave of COVID-19, the local police forces mobilized organizations and individuals to provide some 1,000 tons of food, 2,836 packages of necessities, 37,890 medical supplies, worth over VND 6.1 billion in total, to on-duty officers and people in pandemic-hit areas inside and outside the province.

On behalf of the MPS leadership, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen hailed the achievements gained the Dak Nong police in 2021 and appreciated their effort in ensuring security and order as well as fighting the pandemic in the locality.

The Deputy Minister requested local police officers and soldiers to strictly follow instructions of their superiors on ensuring local security and order as well as controlling COVID-19 in Dak Nong.

He also asked the provincial police to actively advise the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on solutions to flexibly adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic in the current situation.
