Department for Development of “National Security Protection” Movement holds Party Congress

PSNews -The Party organization of the Department for the Development of “National Security Protection” Movement under the Ministry of Public Security held its 7th Party Congress for the 2020 – 2025 term.

The draft political report presented at the Congress read that, regarding the work of Party and force building, the Party organization strictly observed the principle of democratic centralism while attaching importance to ideological education and renovating the Party Committee’s the leadership method.

Regarding its leadership over the department’s task performance, the Party organization advised the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security to review the implementation of directives, ordinances, projects, and coordination programs on the “National Security Protection” movement and mass mobilization work, the National Target Program on New-style Rural Area Building, the communal police force building, the development of civil guard and security guard forces, practical models and typical examples.

Addressing the Congress, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To praised the efforts of the Party organization over the past years.

In the next term, the Deputy Minister asked the Party organization to seriously and effectively implement the resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Politburo, the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, the Public Security Central Party Committee on building the Party organization and developing the “All people protect the national security” movement.

The Party organization should give timely advice to its upper-level Party organizations on promoting the movement “All People protect the national security” in strategic areas of national defense and security, areas with large populations of religious adherents and ethnic minorities, urban areas, border areas, and islands.

It should also advice public security agencies and units to effectively participate in the National Target Program on New-style Rural Area Building in accordance with their functions and tasks.

The Party organization should support the establishment and popularization of typical models and examples of self-governance, self-defense, and self-reconciliation at the grassroots level.

It should also improve the quality and effectiveness of the coordination with relevant agencies, units, and local authorities in promoting the “All people protect national security” movement and improving the quality of mass mobilization of the People's Public Security Forces.
