The Department of Organization and Personnel held a meeting to celebrate the 65th founding anniversary (October 23, 1957) and received the Second-class “Fatherland Protection” Order, on the morning of October 22, in Hanoi.
Politburo member, Minister of Public Security General To Lam attended the event. The event also saw the participation of Major General Le Tan Toi, Chairman of the National Assembly's Defense and Security Committee
Addressing the event, Director of the Organization and Personnel Department Lieutenant General Hoang Duc Lung reviewed the history of the agency.
According to the official, over the past 65 years, the agency has continuously developed to meet increasingly heavy tasks assigned by the higher authorities.
Over the period of time, the Department of Organization and Personnel has also overcome various difficulties and always excellently completed its assignments, making an important contribution to the building of revolutionary, regular, elite and modern People's Public Security Forces in the current situation.
In recognition of its excellent achievements, the Department of Organization and Personnel has been rewarded by the Party and State many noble awards, including Ho Chi Minh Medal, various Military Merit Orders, Victory Medals, and Fatherland Protection Orders of first, second and third classes, as well as a large number of certificates of merit by the Government and the Ministry of Public Security.
At the ceremony, under the authority of the State President, Minister To Lam presented the Second-class Fatherland Protection Order to the Department of Organization and Personnel.
