Department of Planning and Finance rolls out key tasks for Q4 2018

PSNews – The Department of Planning and Finance of the Ministry of Public Security on September 11 held a conference to announce decisions of the Minister of Public Security on the posting of its leading positions, and to roll out key tasks for Q4 this year.

At the event, the Department of Planning and Finance of the Ministry of Public Security announced decisions of the Minister of Public Security on the posting of its leading positions, as well as reviewed its task performance in the first months of 2018 and rolled out key tasks for the remaining months of the years.

According to reports, in the first eight months of 2018, the Department of Planning and Finance has actively researched and elaborated plans on allocation of the budget in 2018 and then proposed the Public Security Central Party Committee to decide on the estimates on budget collection and spending in 2018 for public security agencies and units nationwide.

The Department has succeeded in advising the Ministry of Public Security’s leadership to issue Directive No. 21 on the management of 2018’s budget within the Public Security Forces; to instruct agencies and units of the Ministry of Public Security to build budget estimates for 2019 and 2019-2021 phase; and make estimates for receipts and expenses of social insurance and health insurance of the forces in 2019.

The Department of Planning and Finance also supported the Ministry of Public Security’s leadership in developing three major projects to invest in modern technical facilities for public security units that were approved by the Prime Minister.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son spoke highly of the achievements of the Department of Planning and Finance in recent times.

The Deputy Minister of Public Security asked the Department to soon submit a project to the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security on the unit’s functions, missions and organizational structure.

He also urged the Department to serve as a good think-tank, advising the leaders at all levels on financial issues and budget allocations, meeting the requirements of both regular and unexpected tasks of the entire public security forces.
