At the event, the department also received the second-class Feat of Arms Order.
Deputy Minister Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung chaired the event, which also saw the presence of Deputy Ministers Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, and former Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam.
Major General Ngo Thi Hoang Yen, Director of the Department of Professional Records and Archives, briefed participants on the development of the department over the past 65 years.
Speaking on behalf of the MPS leadership, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung applauded the achievements gained by the department over the past time.
Deputy Minister Hung highlighted several key tasks for the professional records and archives sector in the coming time, and underlined an important role of the force in preventing and controlling crime, building the Public Security Forces as well as protecting internal political security within the Party and State.
They should enhance the scientific and technological application and digital transformation, contributing managing and storing professional records and archives.
The deputy minister also released the Ministry of Public Security’s plan to develop the department to become a professional big data center of the Public Security Forces to be connected to the National Data Center on population and other database centers of the MPS, so as to effectively facilitate the State management of security and order and the building of e-government and e-society.
At the event, the MPS announced the decision to establish the Center for Repairing and Restoring Professional Records and Archives under the department.
