In the first half of 2025, the department excellently fulfilled its main function as a professional, legal and political advisor to the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, and strongly developed strategic research in both quantity and quality, proactively studying and discovering fundamental and essential issues related to public security work.

The department also advised the Ministry’s leadership to organize several national-level scientific conferences and ministry-level historical reviews as part of activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the 80th founding anniversary of the People’s Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 – 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the “All People Protecting National Security” Movement (August 19, 2005 – 2025).

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung requested that the department continue to closely follow the resolutions of the Public Security Central Party Committee on safeguarding national security, ensuring social order and safety and building strong Public Security Forces.

He emphasized the importance of comprehensively grasping the broader context, enhancing strategic advisory capacity, and developing “core products” and “key contents” as critical foundations for leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to advise leaders of the Party and State to craft major policies in political, economic, cultural, social, foreign affairs, national defense and security domains.

The Deputy Minister also underlined that theoretical, strategic and scientific research should take a key position and create breakthroughs as determined by the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security in recent years.
