Department of Security Industry strives to develop security industry

Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Le Van Tuyen attended and delivered a keynote speech at a conference held by the Department of Security Industry, on the afternoon of January 4, 2023, in Hanoi, to review the sector’s task performance in 2022 and roll out the work plan for 2023.

Director of the Department of Security Industry Major General Nguyen Thanh Trang chaired the conference.

In the past year, the department closely followed the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, the Resolution of the Public Security Central Party Committee and instructions of the Minister of Public Security on the development of the security industry in 2022, from the very beginning. 

During the year, Party committees, officers, soldiers and workers with the security industry were united and determined to complete all tasks assigned by the Ministry of Public Security, contributing to the general task accomplishments of the People's Public Security Forces.

Under the authority of the State President, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen awards the Third-class Fatherland Protection Medal to former leaders of the Department of Security Industry.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen hailed the efforts and work results that the Department of Security Industry achieved in 2022.

Regarding the sector’s major tasks in 2023, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen asked the department to actively develop security industry, in coordination with relevant units to revise legal documents related to the Law on Security and Defense Industry, early complete the drafting of a project to implement the Prime Minister's Decision 14/QD-TTg dated February 16, 2021,approving a master plan drafted by the Ministry of Public Security to enhance the development of defense and security industry to meet the requirements of national construction and defense in the new situation for the period of 2021 - 2025.

The department should also study and propose investment in material foundations, equipment, vehicles and production lines to improve the quality of the sector’s production and business while security industry enterprises should actively cooperate with research institutions so as to effectively apply scientific and technological advances to production and business.

*Right after the conference, the Security Industry Department held a meeting for those who are working and used to work in the sector on the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of the People's Public Security Logistics and Technical Forces (January 25, 1948 - January 25, 2023).
