Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam congratulates Vietnam’s Border Guard on traditional day

PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security on March 2nd led a delegation to visit and congratulate the Command of Border Guard of Vietnam on their traditional day (March 3, 1959).

Deputy Minister Nam congratulated and highly appreciated the achievements gained by the Border Guard of Vietnam in the past time, expressed his belief that all officers and soldiers of Vietnam’s Border Guard would continue their tradition and achieve more merits in the cause of protecting national border and territorial sovereignty.

He also hoped that the People's Public Security and the People's Army, including the Border Guard force would continue to coordinate closely and implement effectively the coordination regulations at all levels; advise the Party and the Government on the settlement of complicated issues arising in localities; strengthen the coordination in the prevention and fight against crimes, especially drug-related crimes and cross-border human trafficking.

Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of Vietnam’s Border Guard, thanked the sentiments of the Central Public Security Party Committee, leaders, officers and soldiers of the MPS.

He also emphasized that in the past 59 years of development, the Border Guard of Vietnam has cooperated effectively with the Public Security Forces, contributing to ensuring political security, social order and safety, security for the national border and protecting peace for the people. He hoped that the cooperative ties between the Border Guard and Public Security forces would further develop and bring about more achievements in all aspects.
