PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security on October 3 had meeting with a delegation of reputable persons and key religious dignitaries of the Soc Trang province.

Located in the Mekong Delta, Soc Trang province has an important geopolitical location in the Southern part of the country, which is a crossroads of the three Viet-Khmer-Chinese cultures. In the process of building and protecting the country, under the leadership of the Party, people of different ethnic groups and religions of Soc Trang province have united to contribute to the glorious victory of the whole nation.

In recent years, religious organizations in Soc Trang province have actively cooperated with the local authorities and public security forces in effectively implementing socio-economic development tasks, strengthening national defense and security.

Soc Trang province’s reputable persons and religious dignitaries also actively participated in prevention and fight against plots and activities of hostile forces, and resolved many other complicated issues in the area while contributing to continuously improving material and spiritual lives of the local people and promoting cultural values.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam warmly congratulated the reputable persons and religious dignitaries of Soc Trang province on their great achievements over the past time.

Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam emphasized that the Public Security Forces always coordinate closely with local ethnic minorities to maintain political security, social order and safety, contributing to building a stable and prosperous life for all people in the region.

In the coming time, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam hoped that the religious dignitaries would continue to promote the achievements and to join hands with the Party organizations, authorities and the armed forces of Soc Trang province in building a strong and prosperous locality with political stability and economic development, thus contributing importantly to the cause of national construction and defense.

He also asked local people to support for the police force in fulfilling their assigned tasks in the region.
