Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam works with Lai Chau Provincial Police

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security on June 4 visited and worked with the Lai Chau Provincial Police Department.

At the meeting, Senior Colonel Ha Van Tuyen, Director of the Lai Chau Provincial Police Department briefed Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam and the delegation on the results of local security and order protection over the first months of 2020. 

The provincial police force has strictly followed the guidance of the Ministry of Public Security and the Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee on the political security protection and social order maintenance while effectively struggling against the establishment of an illegal "Mong State" and protecting absolute security and safety for Party Congresses at all levels in preparation for the 13th National Party Congress as well as participating actively in controlling COVID-19 prevention within the area.

As a result, the border security, internal security, information security and economic security have been maintained. Meanwhile, the number of drug related cases also reduced compared with the same period last year. Additionally, the Provincial Police Department also gained various achievements in performing its function of State management over social order and safety, traffic order and safety, promoting the movement “All people protecting national security” and force building work.

Speaking at the meeting, General Nam highly appreciated the achievements of the Lai Chau Provincial Police Department in the past time.

He asked the local police to continuously grasp situations, advise the local Party committees and authorities on measures to ensure order and security. The local police should also well carry out the State management of local security and order as well as attach attention to the movement "All people protecting national security", Party and force building work and the deployment of professional police officers to communal police posts.

In particular, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam urged the Lai Chau Provincial Police Department to focus on ensuring absolute safety for congresses of Party organizations at all levels.
