In recent years, the local authorities continuously promoted the “All People Protecting National Security” movement; as a result, the movement have yielded notable results, effectively mobilizing the strength of the great national unity bloc for the building of a robust all-people national defense posture and a solid people’s security posture.

In addition, the local authorities have effectively maintained practical models to mobilize the grassroots to participate actively in crime prevention and control, contributing to firmly protecting political security and social order in the locality.

At the festival, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung and leaders of the Party Committee and People’s Committee of Lang Son province presented gifts to poor households and disadvantaged children in Dong Dang town.

Addressing the event, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung acknowledged and hailed the achievements of the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Lang Son province, particularly those in Cao Loc district and Dong Dang town, in promoting the “All People Protecting National Security” movement and successfully organizing the festival.

Underscoring the province’s strategic geopolitical importance in terms of politics, economics, defense and security, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung urged the local authorities to consider the promotion of the “All People Protecting National Security” movement a key task of the entire political system, saying that the movement requires the active participation of all social strata.

He also suggested building a solid people’s security posture closely aligned with the all-people national defense posture.

Additionally, the Deputy Minister requested relevant agencies to renovate the content, the form and methods of promoting the movement so as to foster patriotism, national pride and the public awareness of abiding by the laws.

He stressed the need to improve every citizen’s sense of responsibility for the mission of safeguarding national security and social order, and avoid the mindset of some people that the Public Security Forces are the single force responsible for the mission.

Finally, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung stressed the need to strengthen and promote the role of village elders, community leaders, reputable individuals among ethnic minority groups as well as key members of political and social organizations in order to mobilize the synergy of the entire political system and all people to join the “All People Protecting National Security” movement.
